I actually got a letter out - here's my response to Time magazine. Of course,
now I realize a jillion things I'd say differently, but at least I got a
response out there.

Yes, feeding a newborn can be time-consuming, whether by breast or by bottle -
you'd eat frequently too if your stomach was the size of a walnut. But since I
managed to nurse my daughter for longer than a year and complete my Ph.D. at
the same time, I can tell you that nursing an older infant or toddler takes
nowhere near the six hours a day described in your Dec. 15 Health Report. For
