Hi all! One of my co-workers showed up to a meeting with an ad for
"Breast Comfort Packs". These are a round, gel-filled pack which can be
made warm or cold, and held to the breast or worn under a bra.
Has anyone seen these or worn them? I have been telling my moms
cold packs, however you get them (Ice bags, cold washcloths, bag of frozen
veggies), cabbage, warm showers etc.
I work in the WIC program and if these are inexpensive and somewhat
effective, they could be a very useful tool for us. It seems that anything
(THING) we can give our nursing moms makes them feel as if their getting
more out of the program (many feel they are getting less than their fair
share because they are not getting formula, even thought they are getting
extra food for themselves). My way of thinking is that any way to keep
women nursing one more day (week, month, year) is worth the effort.
So: comfort packs--useful tool or waste of money?
