Rental Roundup from Medela had an article by Barbara Wilson-Clay from Austin
Texas, which used as a reference the article from Birth.

Nikoden,V.,D. Danziger, N. Gebka, et al. "Do Cabbage Leaaves Prevent Breast
Engorgement? A Randomized Controlled Study. Birth 2;2 (1993) :61-64.

As a Professional liason for LLL, I think it is interesting to note that at the
present time, LLL does not promote the use of cabbage leaves for engorgement,
instead endorsing cool compresses.
I am certainly not an official spokesperson for LLL, but this is the information
I have received so far from my sources.

LLL Leaders at this time do not endorse cabbage leaves until further studies are
in.
