Re      : Fluconazole and yeast pain.

As per the question on how long it takes for Fluconazole to relieve ductal
pain from candida infection... it appears about a week to ten days at most.
If no resolution after 10 days,  the diagnosis is probably incorrect.

As per the question on K-dur and magnesium supplements.  Please remember,
that these supplements are provided to keep the mom's plasma levels in the
NORMAL range.  If mom's levels are kept in the NORMAL range, there is no
problem for a breastfeeding infant.  Regardless, the alveolar epithelial
cells closely control electrolyte concentration in milk. It is really
unlikely that excessive levels would be transferred into human milk. Check
the magnesium references in my book, in these patients who received grams
and grams of magnesium (Intravenous),  there was virtually no change in the
magnesium level in milk.
