The only problem with this is that the calcium in the milk will compete with
the iron for receptor sites (as someone previously mentioned), causing the
person to get less iron than they would otherwise. Best if you don't take
your iron and calcium rich food or supplement within a few hours of each
other.

Two years ago a very dear friend of mine had a terrible hemmoriage after
delivery.  She too in addition to her iron supplement used blackstrap
molasses in a glass of milk a couple times per day.  Because of this her
hemoglobin increase very quickly.
