Jennifer,
If we don't meet all mothers where they are.........how many MORE babies 
will not nurse or will be weaned abruptly before they even have a chance? 
How many more mothers will live with guilt and sadness when things don't 
work out. I wager the numbers would be quite staggering.

Had I not met the mother (of the readmitted 16 day old baby I saw twice 
this weekend) where she was in the process, this baby would nt be 
exclusively breastfeeding as he is today.
