okay...i see what you're saying....it was a matter of semantics then
for me.   in my description, yes baby would be in cross cradle at the
right breast.  i was thinking of the "U" as more of a difference in
how much of the hand was on the breast versus the direction of the
fingers.....

with baby in cross cradle the right breast, I would call the bottom
lip position 3/4 o'clock and the top lip position 9/10 depending on if
baby is perfectly horizontal or feet are slightly lower (but still
wrapped securely around mom).

in football, i vary the mouth/baby positioning depending on
moms/baby's current issues/needs/nipple damage or lack thereof so the
clock position of the baby would vary.
