I recently ran across a very good article on Gadopentetate, the radiocontrast agent used
for MRI scans.  This one actually finds less than 0.04%  of the administered dose enters
milk, and less than 0.8% is actually absorbed via the gut.

Its a great article suggesting that the 24 hour interruption may not be necessary at all
and that 12 hours is  probably just fine.
