Good morning!

My numbers are old (perhaps someone can update them) but you get the idea.

A US Federal Trade Commission found:

"the cost of infant formula to the consumer, between
1979 and 1989, had increased 155% while the cost
of the ingredients had gone up by only 36%. The
commission concluded the drastic increase was to
cover the free supplies, and gifts to the health care
      system".

Canadian statistics indicate formula prices between 1984 and 1991 increased 155 - 218%.

ie. it is the mother who has lost her milk supply due to the readily available "free" formula or the consumers who choose to artificially feed who pay for the bribes to the health care system, "free" formula, "free" lunches, "free" education and "free" trinkets etc. And it is the taxpayer who pays for the health care costs for the sicker babies fed the formula.
(my comments)
