"Abbott's Ross Products Division is committed to promoting optimal nutrition for babies," said Susan May, MD, FAAP, director of medical communications at Ross Products Division and clinical associate professor of pediatrics at The Ohio State University.

The rep from said company was in my hospital today touting their new "breastfeeding friendly" discharge bags that have 4 single serving formula packets in them. I suggested that if they wanted to make them breastfeeding friendly they should remove the formula and put in breast pumps. She apparently thought I was kidding as she laughed at this. When I turned her offer of breastfeeding literature down as a conflict of interest it was insinuated that I was being a bit "testy." Didn't somebody say that these people are trained to be nice?
