Mary Kay....sorry I have no evidenced based article...only practice based.
We hold feedings prior to a circumcision for "maybe" 30 minutes or so...just
to decrease the risk of regurgitation from crying during the procedure (this
happens only when a doctor specificallly sets a time that he will be there).
It is rarely an issue here, the baby is returned to mom for a feeding and the
M/B nurse completes the circ checks.
