In making the point that puberty is nature's way of preparing the female
body to be able to mother a baby, is it too simple to point out that
breast growth/ development and menstrual periods are both a direct effect
of the ovarian cycles? Or is the hormonal variation during the ovarian
cycles too complicated? Also that the breast is designed to take over
many of the functions of the placenta till the baby is more mature? Or
can that be made simple enough at 5th grade level?

Just wondering.
