Hi Jane,
I don't know about these newborn weight requirements causing an obsession
w/wt. gain later in life, but I know for certain that the concern about
weight gain in cases where the baby is healthy and doing fine causes undue
stress for the parents and erodes mom's confidence in her ability to feed
her own child.
