My husband is a U.S. Marine. Beginning later this year, EVERY Marine
will be required to receive a series (3 he thinks) of anthrax vaccines
over a period of a year or two (he's lounging at the moment and won't
look up the particulars). This includes ALL Marines whether or not they
are deployable. Of course, many breastfeeding mothers will be included.
An active duty Marine Corps officer and nursing mom in our La Leche
League group has often mentioned that she just "refuses" various things
like this but, in the enlisted ranks anyway, refusal is not an option.
