there is anthropological data available that clearly delineates various
cultures, diets and breastmilk DHA levels.

imesho,  it's not about one isolated nutrient though as much as it is
about looking at what we would have had (nutrient-wise)  in an
evolutionary environment and trying to replicate that as much as
possible, while being ever thankful for modern developments in terms of
food availability.
