Oh, Kathy, this was good to read. I am feeling very low right now -- now
that electric power and telephone service and so on are restored to most
neighborhood here we are, as Rachel Myr said to me today, entering the
taking-in phase -- realizing how many neighbors are suddenly, unaccountably,
dead, and how many others -- who saw the people jumping, or ran in the
falling debris, or etc -- are utterly emotially devastated; and also how
enormous the destruction of our town has been, in ways that are going to keep
coming clear for a long long time. So just at this minute a simple and good
story of how calmly and lovingly we can care for our children and each other
was just *exactly* what I needed. Thanks.
