Allergy testing can be very inaccurate and invasive.  A vegan diet
seems like a random and extreme choice.  I agree with Laura: avoid the
top 8.  I would add all gluten and corn to this list too.  If she
strictly follows this diet, she basically can't eat prepared, packaged
or restaurant food.  Mom should keep a detailed diary of food eaten
cross-referenced with baby's symptoms (I have an excel file I use,
email me if you want a copy).  Mom should check all supplements too.

Remember: *anything* can be an allergen, so the food diary is really
important to refine what she can and can't eat.  I know nursing
mothers who can't eat chicken, cane sugar, oranges, and citric acid!

Mother's gut repair would be an important step as well (tons of
probiotic foods like real sauerkraut and maybe a strong probiotic
too).
