Hi all,

The list of references on discharge packs that I posted earlier is by no means
exhaustive. There are many more articles on discharge packs and formula
freebies from doctors if you find the Medline citation for one of the papers
and click on the Related Articles Link. Note, too, that two of the articles
cited -Bliss et al and Dungy et al- conclude that discharge packs are not
detrimental to breastfeeding. I first posted these references to Lactnet last
year when those 2 studies showing benefit to breastfeeding duration from
discharge packs came up in the discussion.
