This is forwarded from a midwife friend:

This was from a newspaper in Christchuch, New Zealand. It was
reprinted in a LaLecheLeague publication in 1980.

Contary to popular folklore, breastfeeding can cause unforseen
trauma. A Christchurch businessman reports the case of a woman sunbathing at
Lady's Bay, one of Sydney's nude beaches, with her eight-month-old child.

She didn't noice that the baby had crawled off until there was a
feminine scream from one of the prostrate bodies further down the beach.

Hungry after its journey, the child had latched onto the nearest
 feature it recognized.
