Just a thought-
The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine has a protocol on Hypoglycemia.
You might want to consider sharing that one for other ideas on how to
deal with this. WHO has a booklet on that issue too. You can request a
single for free from their website.
And the newest issue of ABM News and Views is issue just came out with
the protocol for discharging breastfeeding patients.

And if any one needs a copy, the Japan Association of Lactation
Consultants has translated the hypoglycemia protocol (and several other
documents)

and "improved" policies are based on? Or don't they need studies to
make
these kinds of changes. We, on the other hand, need studies to prove
that
