My last child nursed for 5.5 years, and the last 4 years of that (and maybe
longer?) was on the right side only. During the first year or so of him
preferring the right side only, that side was somewhat larger than the left,
but by the time he was 3 or so, they were both the same size, even though
the right one was producing lots of milk and the left one wasn't producing
any. He is now 6.5, so a year past final weaning, and they are both the
same size. Sounds like another scare tactic to convince women they don't
want to breastfeed.
P.S. So what if they did end up different sizes. The vast majority of
women have slight differences in size from right to left, that changes with
the menstrual cycle and over the years. . . . . there is no magic to having
exactly symmetrical breasts.
