I've recently been wondering if we should be wary of using the term
"support" in the title or description of these groups. Amongst moms, many
bfing moms tell stories about inviting new moms to the "breastfeeding
support" group (LLL or other), but these new moms never attend.

I wondered if new moms may be turned off by the term "support" - not wanting
to accept that they need "support", or associating the term "support group"
with people with "problems" (like AA or other groups).

These groups, FTMP, provide friendship and companionship, not just help with
"problems". So moms need to realize the group is for them, even if they
don't have a "problem".
