Denise,
According to all of my sources, babies need between 2 and 3 oz of baby
milk---- formula or breastmilk---- per pound of body weight. 32 oz is a
LOT for a 2 1/2 wk old; just how big is this baby? An 8lb needs between
16 and 24 oz, average about 20, in 24 hrs, and at that they don't really
need this much until into the second week; the first week they are still
building up the supply and require less. I'd double check that if I were you!
Try the Lactation books by Lawrence and Riordan & Auerbach.
