I recently had the opportuinity to accopany my 17 year old niece to 1st
pre-natal visit. After discussing(Encouraging) bf with her and ob, the
?nurse on our way out handed her an application to a new mom's club, with two cans
of formula. When I objected, I was told "she needs a Life you know!!"
AUGGGH!!  Shouldn't there be retribution for poor/incorrect advice?
Let's begin to counsel diabetics to test bs when convienient, so
as not to interfere with Life!! Just venting..on a better note thanks to
all with advice  several months ago with new bf mom--no suport systems.
She is heading into month three--baby thriving, even has converted some family members.
