Hi Clare,
I've noticed problems with vaginal deliveries and with C/s, which makes me wonder if the problem is a/w medication rather than mechanical forces. However, once in a while the vacuum extractor is used in a C/S, to get the baby out of a tight incision, apparently because some mothers have complained about their incisions being "too long."
Is the Ventouse the same as the vacuum extractor? I've noticed latch and suck problems in vacuum babies for years, but only rarely have had babies who DON'T suck at all. Is the Cranial Osteopath on hospital staff? If so, how fortunate.
Thanks for your interest -
Martha J

Dear Martha,
How have the babies been delivered? We run two large clinics per week & find that instrumental deliveries certainly appear to affect babies particularly Ventouse.
We advise that all babies born by Ventouse have a treatment by the Cranial Osteopath.
