I have a client who has been diagnosed as hyperthyroid with Graves disease.
She has been told that I have to have a radioactive iodine treatment (I 131)
and will have to wean. Her doctor has agreed to allow her to nurse her 10
month old until he is a year. Would you agree that she absolutely must wean
after having the Iodine 131?? Is there another treatment or type of med that
wouldn't force weaning? Thanks for any info you can give me!!
