I am the project manager for an in-house animation exhibition called "Be
Animated!" here at Sci-Port Discovery Center. I have done extensive
research and prototyping. I don't know everything, but I do know a
bunch of stuff that doesn't work. Feel free to contact me at my direct
line 318-424-8677 or email at [log in to unmask] I am in the central
time zone and my normal office hours are 8 to 5. I will be out from
9:30 to 12:45 tomorrow (Friday, June 27) teaching an animation class at
LSU.

There are programs like FrameThief (http://www.framethief.com/) or
products like the Video Lunchbox (http://www.animationtoolworks.com/)
through which you can easily record animation.

These tools do not require a specific camera. You can use either a still
digital camera or a digital video camera.

I have only used these products in programs and demos, never as a stand
alone exhibit, but each is a very stable platform.
