you -  it's in their interest to be able to sell the stuff to you.
Although your  local rules may be slightly different, I'd bet the Caltech
safety  precautions listed here are close to what you need to do  -
http://www.safety.caltech.edu/manuals/hydrogen.pdf - just sensible  stuff
for a flammable gas, like store away from ignition sources, and  standard
pressure tank safety, like store in a rack or a gas cabinet and  make
sure you have the right regulator for the tank.

One added precaution.  Two researchers were killed in Pennsylvania  when they 
opened the cylinder valve.
 
Unlike carbon dioxide and most other gases that become colder when they  
expand out of the tank, hydrogen gets hotter.  It can easily reach it's  
auto-ignition temperature and (mixed with air) explode.  Always use a  regulator and 
avoid venting.
 
The gas property is known as the Joule-Thompson Inversion  Temperature.  The 
effect is an exothermic adiabatic expansion.
