Hello Listserv Experts,

I'm in the process of accessing and potentially revamping our volunteer
wardrobe, if you will, and I'd love to hear about what other places do to
make their volunteers easily identifiable by visitors. Currently, our
volunteers wear either a vest or a smock in a sort of dull teal with our
logo as a sewn-on badge. (They also have name tags.) Many volunteers do not
like these garments at all...and neither do I, truth be told.

I'm going to survey the volunteers to hopefully figure out their feelings on
the matter (what's really wrong with the vests?), but in the mean time, I
turn to you. Personally, I like the look of lab coats, but I recognize their
downsides: hot in the summer, fairly expensive to get in bright cheery
colors... What has worked well (or poorly) for you? Is there a way for
volunteers to be easily spotted but also feel comfortable? (And yes, I know
that you can't please all the people all the time, certainly not on a
budget.)

Thanks!
Isabel
