If you are planning to be a Director some day, you need to know how all the parts of a Science Center work. Therefore you should get a job, any job, at a Science Center and learn as much as you can about that job and all the other jobs at the center. This will take some time to do and to learn, but if you're conscientious, in the end, you might be a good Director. (A PhD does not make you are good Director. Experience and knowledge do.)

Good luck,

-Jake

Hello gents and ladies,

I am completing a doctorate degree in Education Psychology specializing in Education Technology and Instructional Design. As I look for jobs, I have discovered that my ideal job is Director of Education Outreach at Science Technology Center. I've found that my skills don't fit most of the job descriptions. I am looking for how to transition my scale into this field. Please send me any suggestions.
