Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

We are investigating starting up an online web-store.  Our goal is to 
transact memberships and to offer 6 to 12 items from our in house Curiosity 
Shops.  We would like to benefit from the experience of those who have been 
through this process and make sure we are not limiting our options. 

Any opinions on the best way to start and the pros and cons of the different 
options available?

We have local ISP who maintains our current website and wants to build and 
maintain our site.  We are also looking at store.yahoo and even looking at 
Cafepres.com.  All comments appreciated.
