ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

One of the tenets of "I.D." is that complex molecular structures found
in living things are far too complex to have evolved, they must have
been invented. But the Science of networks comes to the rescue. In
looking at the structure of molecular networks (Barabasi, Qin, Wuchty,
Ricard, and others have researched this extensively), it has become
apparent that these networks became complex specifically BECAUSE they
evolved from simpler to more complex, which, follows a similar trend in
multicellular life. Here are a few links to research on complex
intracellular metabolic networks, my all time favorite of which is the
well-studied Baker's Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). Here are some
links. And don't forget to keep your dough rising in a warm place!
