We do a 10 minute orientation with school groups with a PowerPoint. We
feel it helps the students to focus on what is expected of them in terms
of behavior and gives them an idea of what they can expect to see during
their visit. Teachers have indicated they really like the orientation
because it gives the students time to focus on the field trip.

We have a suggestion from upper management to do 5-10 minute
orientations for every school group in the Planetarium (it's located
right next to our secondary entrance). And it wouldn't be just a group
talk in the Planetarium...it would also include in a brief 2-3 minute
intro video.

Has anybody ever thought, or tried doing this? Do you think it would
add or detract from the student experience? Thanks for any input.
