this is often raised as a big worry, esp for sharing hats, headphones etc..
but in fact even for those objects the risks are very small.. esp if they are designed to NOT trap hold hair.

these critters can no more jump, than you or I can levitate.. I think we have some studies on this ( lice not levitation).

if the lab coats have any "hair fall" taken off it just can't happen.

We are preparing to launch a mobile classroom and want to outfit the students 
with goggles and lab coats when they walk in the door to help them get in the 
mindset to be a scientist.  However, when we mentioned lab coats the teachers 
were worried - actually worried is a minor word - about lice.

Has anyone had experience with sterilizing either goggles or lab coats?  Is lice 
an issue anyone has encountered?  Any advice?
