We do an orientation for all groups coming into the museum.  We go over our Museum Manners  as well as make sure the adults understand the agenda for their visit.  We find it helps transition from school and bus ride, to whatever they are doing in the museum that day.

We have a suggestion from upper management to do 5-10 minute orientations for every school group in the Planetarium (it's located right next to our secondary entrance).  And it wouldn't be just a group talk in the Planetarium...it would also include in a brief 2-3 minute intro video.

Has anybody ever thought, or tried doing this?  Do you think it would add or detract from the student experience?  Thanks for any input.
