Actually one could do sines and cosignes with a slide rule.   They did 
them with Apollo.
But Nina's idea is still a good one.  So many kids (and teachers) today 
aren't even clear
on whether the shuttle could go to the Moon (or listen to foolish 
conspiracy theories),
I really do hope we do more to honor this great human achievement.
