ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers

Dear Kit,

When you did your first pre/post administration, did you see any changes
in attitudes? How long was the science intervention between pre and
post? What tool did you use to observe the students? Did your
observations show that there was gain, but the TOSRA results were stable
over time or declined?

These references are great. I will especially look at TOSRA 2. As we
were going to administer only a few subscales from the original tool,
this might be a better option.
I have another reference where they used TOSRA pre/post, but they did
not document any significant changes.

Turner S. & Ireson G. (2010). Fifteen pupils’ positive approach to
primary school science: when does it decline?. Educational Studies,
36:2, 119-141.

Would be interesting to know if other folks used TOSRA or other tools to
measure attitudes towards science in a pre/post format.
Thank you for your response and references.
Anahit
