Good morning all,
I am working on a session proposal for our "Science Education Partnerships" and I am interested in partnering with other institutions that may have implemented a similar program. In this project, we are enhancing the science curricula at a K-8 public school and a K-12 private school through fieldtrips, outreach programs, teacher workshops, science fair training and a science resource center. 2013-14 marks our 5th year working with the private school and 3rd year with the public school (partially funded by an IMLS grant).

Tentatively, the agenda for this session will include:

- Partnership building
- Program funding
- Program planning and implementation
- Project evaluation
- Challenges, successes, pitfalls etc.

If your institution has implemented this type of program and would like to plan a session together please contact me directly.

FYI- if you are looking for the 2014 session proposal info, it is in the wrong place on the ASTC website, here is the current link https://astc.confex.com/astc/2013/cfp.cgi. I spoke to an ASTC representative this morning, so it should be corrected soon.

Thank you,

The deadline for 2014 proposals will be here before we know it. I have already reached out to some colleagues individually. Below are 3 sessions I would like to submit.

-Incorporating 3D printers into the Visitor Experience -Partnering with Hackerspaces
- Rapid prototyping to teach science (This would be very similar to the session of the same title from the 2013 conference. I would like to spin the session a bit, and change the title, to provided strategies and activities that use little to know consumables in an open environment.)

If you are interested in partnering on any of these session please feel free to contact me directly.
