I got this one from Anders Liljeholm of OMSI:
A nanometer is to a meter as an eyeblink is to a year.

Hmmmmm.... I am not so sure....
There are 10 exp 9 nanometers per meter or
1 thousand-million nanometers per meter.
there are ~ 60 x 60 x 24 x 365 seconds per year.... 31, 536,000 seconds per year If you blinked, an average of 1 per second....~~31 million blinks per year,So it would take roughly 30 + years, to blink 1 thousand million blinks...neglecting sleepAbout a lifetime, on average, factoring in sleep as no eyeblinks
However.. maybe so... If each individual blink is only 1/30 second or so, repeated, every second, and if
the total DURATION of eyes closed during a year's worth of blinks is the desired variable, rather than the total count of eyeblinks...and if, you don't count sleep time, then you are close...
