Hi Folks -
Toni, thank you for your question and apologies for the confusion. The information in the "upcoming events" box in the forum reflects the dates this forum will be active, not any particular event during the chat.

I'll take this opportunity to make another plug for this forum. To join, visit http://connect.astc.org and sign in or create an account. To join the "Beyond Painting Science Pink" discussion, enter "stemgirls" when prompted for the enrollment key.

Laura--
Would like to know the same thing--maybe post to the whole listserv anyway?

Apologies, all.
I meant to change the addressee to Laura rather than the entire list...

Hello Laura,

I've signed up for the Beyond Painting Science Pink: Engaging Girls in STEM
forum. The page indicates that there is an event at 12 AM tomorrow and again
on Friday. Is this simply a log-in and read what's been posted forum, or is
there a presentation and discussion portion? If the latter, do you have more
details regarding when (including time zone) these events will take place
and how to participate?

Thanks much,

Toni

ASTC is excited to announce next week's ASTC Connect online forum, "Beyond
Painting Science Pink: Engaging Girls in STEM," based on the dynamic
workshop at this year's ASTC Annual Conference in Fort Worth. The forum
will open on Monday, November 16th and continue through Friday, November
20th.

Join session presenters and forum moderators Karen Peterson (National
Girls Collaborative), Lisa Regalla (Twin Cities Public Television),
Christina Soontornvat (Austin Children's Museum), Jennifer Stancil (Carnegie
Science Center) and Georgette Williams (New York Hall of Science) in sharing
best practices for engaging girls in authentic and relevant STEM
experiences. This online forum will provide those who attended the session
an additional platform to continue the dialogue started in Fort Worth, and
is also a great opportunity for those who were not able to attend the
conference to join the discussion!

To participate, sign in or create an account at http://connect.astc.org.
Click on the "Beyond Painting Science Pink" forum, and enter "stemgirls"
when prompted for the enrollment key.
