Are they going to auction off their exhibits?

I've been associated with our local small town science museum for 10
years, primarily as the host for our monthly sky shows, and any topic on
astronomy. I am a volunteer. About six months ago the museum was forced to
close because the armory building housing it did not pass earthquake
standards to allow student classes to visit any longer. Needless to say this
was an unhappy experience for the two people who staffed the museum. One has
taken on a different role in the education office. The museum was doing
quite well otherwise in supporting local schools.

I was allowed to continue with the sky shows, and have done so as long as it
makes sense. We do not use museum property for them. I do not see the museum
continuing in any way for the foreseeable future. It's undoubtedly connected
to the state's economy.

I still plan to visit this list as needed.
