Every year during the easter period we have an egg demo
besides the already mentioned experiments

we have visitors stand on six whole eggs (put them in halve an egg box and
place a plate on top of them, ask one of the visitors to carefully step onto
it)
or we ask visitors to estimate the strength of an egg: how many book, or
packs of paer can I put on 4 egges before they break

we also have an 'egg model': a small yellow balloon filled with liquid
inside a transparant larger balloon, also filled with liguid: this alllows
you to show what happens inside the spinning raw egg

Also look at the strength of an egg shell's shape.
Place four or more egg shell halves (open side down) on the floor and a
board on top of the egg shells.
How much weight can the board hold before the egg shells break?
Depending on the number of egg shells you use, small children can stand on
the board.

Have fun and eggsperiment!
