Hi Alissa, 

Astronomy From the Ground Up is a project that has successfully been
delivering online professional development to museum educators about
hands-on astronomy activities. The activities come from programs created by
the Astronomical Society of the Pacific; NOAO and ASTC help with additional
expertise and dissemination. It is a combination of asynchronous forums
(using Moodle, the same platform as ASTC Connect) and synchronous
videochats, with multimedia resources posted for the community of users. I'd
be happy to tell you more offline!
