Dear colleagues,

We are in the initial planning phase for a community solar system walk
and are considering the pros and cons of scale and design options.
Currently, our options are wide open: Do we create a walkable scale for
the town of Chapel Hill? Do we expand to include the entire Raleigh,
Durham, Chapel Hill area, or do we fulfill our statewide mandate and
create something that runs mountains to coast? We have reviewed Mary
Dussault's article on Community Solar Systems in the ASTC resource files
(very helpful) and have visited Boston and Ithaca for inspiration.

Before we make our final decisions, we'd love to hear the wisdom of this
group concerning your lessons learned:

*If you have a community system, what about it works well for your
visitors and if you could do it again, what would you change?

*If you have enjoyed these exhibits from a visitor's perspective, what
did you find appealing and what was challenging?

We so appreciate your willingness to share any recommendations and
ideas. Please feel free to email me offlist unless others are interested.

Very best,
Michele Kloda
