ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Plastic berry baskets (the green, pretend woven kind) are the best as they
float slowly--at least in our tunnel! We provide lots of other materials
(e.g., tulle, feathers, fabric). Often, folks attach materials to the
baskets to create sort of a parachute or "hot air" balloon and also put
things in the basket to see if they can make it hover by adding weight.

The worst idea--styrofoam. Some versions--like the little blocks often
used to lift your furniture off the carpet when you have it
cleaned--perform well in the tunnel, but they readily deteriorate when
stepped on,etc. and are hard to remove.

Hoping to hear about others' experiences,
Shari
