ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************

Thirteen has been invited to apply for a grant to
produce national television programming, a Web site, and teacher
resources for K-12 environmental science and informal science educators.
We would like your feedback on what would be useful to you. Please take
five to ten minutes to consider and respond to the questions below by
sending an email to Naomi Edelson at [log in to unmask] by July 17,
2006, or forward this email to interested colleagues. Thank you!

To sample the environmental science resources Thirteen
already offers for tweens, teens and K-12 and informal educators, please
check out "What's Up in the Environment?" at
www.thirteen.org/edonline/wue and "Planet H2O" at www.thirteen.org/h2o.

		1. Please give us some information about you and the
students or young people you serve. What is the name of your school,
district, or organization? What subjects/programs do you teach or offer
and what ages are your students?

		2. Do you incorporate environmental topics into your
curriculum? Please tell us what topics, and into which subjects or
programs they fit. Does your state require environmental education in
schools, and if so, at what grade levels and subjects?

		3. What materials, if any, do you and/or the children
use when exploring environmental topics? What do you like about the
materials? What other materials, if any, would be useful? What topics
might your students or participants like to explore if free multimedia
resources were available?

		4. If you use the "What's Up in the Environment?"
(www.thirteen.org/wue) or "Planet H2O" (www.thirteen.org/h2o) materials,
or if you have visited the sites, please let us know what you think!
What did you like, and what suggestions do you have for future projects?
In particular, we would like to know what other topics and issues, grade
levels, case studies/personal stories, and careers you would like us to
address in future projects.

		5. Please add any other thoughts you would like to
share.

	THANK YOU!
