I would plan to go digital.
The technology is changing so rapidly and costs are decreasing on the
digital systems.
Once the tipping point of digital commercial theaters is reached the
price of film will certainly increase as the film market decreases.
Kodak says they will continue manufacturing film but for how long and
at what price.
Other option is you could get a deal on an Imax 15-30 system as I
believe they may have a few surplus systems in storage in Toronto.
There is a reason why the commercial theaters are all going digital.
Cost verses quality. Do not rush to a decision as the design process
can accommodate either option.
