In this weeks New Scientist the lead article is Life' s 10
Greatest Interventions: muticellularity, the eye, symbiosis,
superorganism, death, sex (yeah!), photosynthesis, language, the
brain. Could make a good exhibition.

This is issue 2494 of New Scientist magazine, 09 April
2005, page 26. If you cannot get it in your library (I think
registrations is required on the web
http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=mg18624941.700&feedId=life_rss091)
let me know and I will send you a text document.
