PROMISING PRACTICES IN OST PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Research in the out-of-school time field confirms that there is a strong 
connection between professional development for staff and positive outcomes 
for youth. "Promising Practices in Out-of-School Time Professional 
Development" was recently produced by the Out-of-School Time Resource 
Center (OSTRC). The document broadly defines OST professional development 
and summarizes promising practices in its design, implementation, and 
evaluation. The accompanying annotated bibliography describes 44 references
