ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Hello,

We are looking for recommendations for a handheld USB or RCA microscope
with a light and autofocus that is durable enough to be left on the
floor. Preferably it would not need a computer as an interface, but
simply plug directly into a monitor.

The scope will be used to take a closer look at a corrosion rack mounted
to a wall. This rack will consist of 4"x5" coupons of different metals
exposed in simulated environment chambers for a certain number of
"months" or "years." The whole rack will be about 5'6" tall so the cord
will have to be long as well.

While on the subject, does anyone have thoughts about allowing visitors
the ability to touch rusted metal? It won't be metal rusted in the
environment, but within a laboratory, all edges would be rounded.

Thank you for your time.
